What is included in the price?
- A consultation with an Irish-registered GP by video or phone
- A sick certificate where clinically appropriate
- A repeat or new prescription sent to your pharmacy where appropriate
- A referral letter where clinically appropriate
When do you pay?
When you book, your card is authorised — a temporary hold, not a charge. The payment is taken only once a GP confirms your appointment. If we cannot see you, the hold is released and you are not charged.
Medicines and other costs
The consultation fee does not include the cost of any medicine, which you pay your pharmacy directly. Some private health insurers offer cashback for GP visits, so it is worth checking your policy.
Payment security
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. DrCall never sees or stores your card number.
Frequently asked questions
How much is an online GP in Ireland?
DrCall consultations start from €35.
Are there extra charges for a sick cert or prescription?
No. Where your doctor considers a sick cert, prescription or referral appropriate, it is covered by the consultation fee. You pay your pharmacy for the medicine itself.
Will I be charged if the doctor can’t see me?
No. Your card is only authorised when you book and is charged once a GP confirms the appointment. Otherwise the hold is released.
