Book an online Dr in Ireland

Every consultation is with a fully qualified doctor registered in Ireland, not a chatbot or a symptom checker. You explain what is wrong, your doctor asks the questions a GP would ask in the surgery, and together you agree what happens next.

If your problem needs a physical examination, tests or emergency care, your doctor will say so clearly and point you to the right place.

  • Video or phone, from home or work
  • Same-day appointments, 7 days a week
  • Clear next steps, prescriptions and certificates where appropriate
  • From €35, charged only when confirmed
  • A real, Irish-registered doctor — never a chatbot

Frequently asked questions

Can I see an online doctor in Ireland today?

Yes. DrCall appointments are available every day and most patients can be seen the same day. Choose the next available time on our booking page — the earliest bookable slot is 30 minutes from now.

Is an “online Dr” a real doctor?

Yes. Every DrCall consultation is carried out by a doctor registered with the Irish Medical Council, following the same professional standards as a surgery visit.

Can an online Dr in Ireland send me a prescription?

Where your doctor considers it clinically appropriate, yes — it is sent electronically to the pharmacy you choose. Some medicines cannot be prescribed online, such as benzodiazepines, Z-drugs, opioids and stimulants.

How much does an online GP consultation in Ireland cost?

A DrCall online consultation starts from €35. That covers your consultation, including a sick cert, repeat prescription or referral where clinically appropriate. Your card is only authorised when you book and is charged once a GP confirms your appointment.

Do I have to travel to see the doctor?

No. Consultations take place by secure video or phone, so you can be at home in Ireland — or anywhere else in Ireland — and still see an Irish-registered GP.

Can I get a prescription or sick cert online in Ireland?

Yes, where your doctor considers it clinically appropriate. Prescriptions are sent electronically to the pharmacy you choose, and sick certs are available for work or college. DrCall cannot prescribe benzodiazepines, Z-drugs, opioids or stimulants.

Is an online doctor consultation private and safe?

Yes. Consultations use secure, GDPR-compliant technology, our doctors follow Irish Medical Council guidelines, and the same doctor–patient confidentiality applies as in a face-to-face visit.
